  4. Hi, I just got BtW and when I launch it, it gets stuck at the end of the EAC loading. I unistalled and instaled EAC again, checked the game local files, restarted the PC and even unistalled and then installed the game itself. Can I get some help with this please??

  6. Advice sounds pretty solid. I think BTW devs have the potential to engineer a game that's a bridgeway between a musket n' bayonet line game like War of Rights and a WW2 game like Post Scriptum. Which are both solid and hardcore milsim experiences. And I agree that they could definitely help achieve this by have huge battle formations. The only worry I have is optimization and the proper utilization of command structure. I wish for once a video game had correct command structures based on historic MTOES instead of some arbitrarily contrived organizational structure like Hell Let Loose has. This is why I like BTW in that sense. All in all pretty solid statement and I also want to support the devs.
  7. I've heard a lot of people complaining bots should be added and I've seen on the roadmap bot support as a goal. But if bots are added it wont be the same. I'm hoping BTW will trump Post Scriptum in the milsim experience but if it goes in the direction of games like Verdun and Tannenberg with excessive bots and little actual player base it would truly be saddening.

Tbh its quite demoralizing considering this game is indeed quite good however the 35.99 price tag already sets off a major consumer base, along with the fact the game is considered dead reaching maybe 40 on a good day which prevents more influx of consumers being put off. You need to advertise this game more along with lowering the price tag, doing free giveaways literally anything that might make consumers go hm this seems interesting and give them a reason to buy it since a WW1 realistic shooter is pretty unique considering there are only a few other titles in the ww1 setting. It would be better to invest into Beyond the Wire instead of delving into a new game that may or may not be a hit I'm talking about Isonzo. I believe that Isonzo will have essentially the same path as Beyond the Wire if not less players and consumers because you have already made a WW1 game which would separate people looking into Beyond the Wire and consumers looking into Isonzo. You first have to make sure the first WW1 game is doing fine before moving onto the next or otherwise if you keep splitting the player base that is waiting for Beyond the Wire to get fresh faces they are just going to drop it from their radar and start looking elsewhere. It would probably be helpful to introduce an ad banner in Squad since it has quite a high player count which will introduce people that are playing modern realistic shooters to try out Beyond the Wire. There also needs to be a big event like maybe an anniversary or maybe the day WW1 ended in which you could do a free weekend, then after that the amount of players that keep playing as well as those that wait for free weekend to end to see if it is worth it to buy if the player count exceeds maybe 500 or 700 people will buy into it. If there are any other suggestions then just comment and hopefully Redstone Interactive will look at it.

  12. There is a bug regarding the input device setting. The input device is reset after each restart of the game. Workaround: 1. Set your Input Device to 'Default Device' in the game options. 2. Click apply and close the game 3. Open your Windows Sound Control Panel 4. Switch to the 'Recording' Tab 5. Select your microphone from the list and on the bottom click the little arrow next to 'Default Device' 6. Select 'Default Communications Device'

  21. Beyond the Wire is a solid game with room for improvement. The Second World War is now boring and worn out, because even if something new appears - it is always the Western Front 1944/1945 from the point of view of the Western Allies or the Eastern Front after Stalingrad from the point of view of the Russians. And a small BFV War story does not change this trend. Unused, on the other hand, is the First World War. BF 1 was quite ok, but more of a modern shooter with a WW1 skin. Beyond the Wire on the other hand creates a different feeling compared to modern or WW2 themed shooters. It pretty much feels like a slaughterhouse - you assault either a bottleneck or a hard to defend position and die, respawn, attack die - and so on. Nevertheless, it feels not necissarily bad, as succesfully coordinated attacks that result in a point being captured or even the match being won are very satisfying. But there's room for improvement. To create a really immersive WW1 feeling, there must be more people running around an dying. And the respawns take too long and are too far away from where the action is, so you mostly run alone or with one or two mates. WW1 became sadly famous for its wave attacks, in which hundrets and thousands of soldiers ran into the machine gun fire of the enemy side. My proposal would be, that each player in a squad has 4 to 5 ai team mates, based on which class they select. If you die, you can select one of this ai partners until all of them are dead and you have to respawn in the trench. This would result in more intense combat situations with an immersive amount of soldiers. The respawn system in the first instance could work similar to Arma 3, where you have a list of ais marked as "playable" in your group with the role assigned in brackets where you can select one ai from the list and continue. This way, you could also add more historic accuracy in terms of uniforms and weapons. Playing in a specific unit skin wouldn't alienate single players from the others as there would be 6 units dressed the same way. On the other hand, the devs could distribute weapons and gear more accurate. A German smg squad would have to MP-18 riflemen, two soldiers carrying ammunition and one or two regular riflemen. This also would allow players to play the weapon they want as even "special" weapons like submachineguns would be "balanced" by ai mates. Of course this would require some work, but solve Beyond the Wire's vicious circle: right now, there are too few players, so matches don't feel immersive, what results in less people playing the game. With improvements as descibed above, even a match with 10 players would have 50 "humans" involved, what would result in immersion. And matches with 50 players would have 250 "humans". Games like "Battle Cry of Freedom" prove it's possible. For my personal taste, I would love to see a third person option. Games like Arma 3 prove it only makes a realistic shooter better, and this way one could also enjoy seeing the own character. I would also love to see graphical improvements, even though the current graphics are already well done. Full server matches are fun, yet they only come together very rarely.
  22. As the title says the game needs huge improvements and to correct its mistakes. Perhaps it is impossible to understand why the game needs to be improved and why I say the game needs to be improved. I'm a hardcore battlefield gamer and I've played almost all of the anthropomorphic, hardcore, battlefield games. For example, the Red Orchestra series, HEll Let loose, Squad series, PR, FH series, War of rights, etc. Obviously easy to see, with the game's daily online description, the game is almost dead. In recent weeks, the game has never had more than 100 people online and can't even fill a server. I bought the game when it was released, at the game's original price, and I was quite enthusiastic about the game, when the online volume was so high that the servers were packed, but now the game is as dead as dust, with almost no players. Why? I joined a private player group about the game when I bought the game, but now everyone is not playing the game, most of the players are players of other battlefield games, battlefield 1-5, squad, post scriptum. although people still relate to the development of the game and cheer every preview update, no one is playing the game anymore, no one is discussing the content of the game. People are talking about other games like Post Scriptum, (squad series) and I am disappointed that WWI never seems to be enjoyed by the rest of the players. But is the problem with WW1, the limitations of this title? I asked people in the player group what the advantages of Beyond the wire were. Most of them answered, fast and furious battles, close to the front line, easy to break out into gunfights, and easier to play than Squad, Post Scriptum. They also wondered why there are still no players to play it. They were convinced that the gameplay was as easy as Hell let loose and the map was as targeted (rectangular linear progression). Then I replied, if the game's advantages are intense gunplay and proximity to the front line, take a game with the same theme (WW1), why would I not play Battlefield 1 for the intense gunplay? Why I do not go to play Verdun, tannenberg it? And this is the reason why the game has no players. Because of my statement, some of the players who mainly played Battlefield 1 appeared, and I asked them what attracted you to Beyond the wire in the first place, and they answered, freshness. What? The novelty of the game attracted people to play it? And then what, the novelty of the game declined, leaving only so many people? It's sad that the game was just treated as a fast food, not taken seriously, people watched the game's updates and cheered every update preview, expecting the next update to make the game hot, but the result was eternal silence. Until finally the servers shut down, no one played, and the game died completely. It's all too sad. Why do I care so much? I love this game, and truly hope that the game can have its own large number of players and presence influence, most of the game in the hot period to play the game, only a few are sincere for ww1 title to come, the rest is to support and taste the new Squad series, Battlefield 1 with the same theme of the attempt (the preview is very good). The main thing is the core of the game. The Red Orchestra series has its own unique gameplay, different from Battlefield, excellent campaign mode, very good historical experience, the experience of having been through a war. Battlefield has an exclusive gun experience suitable for popular entertainment. Excellent picture quality, excellent music. Squad focuses on tactical simulations. Hell let loose is a relaxing experience that allows players to implement tactics in a historical skin with a WWII theme. The game needs to adjust its development path, and tanks and historical army formations are clearly not enough. Here are the suggestions. The game mode needs to be increased, my vision is that the game needs a large battlefield to simulate WWI, not just a medium sized rectangular map, the front line advance is the basis of WWI, as far as I know from the books I read about WWI and the 1930's "No War on the Western Front" movie about WWI, it is clear that the Verdun game mode is best suited for that battlefield. The same game needs inherited characteristics, maybe the game needs troop carriers, supply trucks, but that doesn't mean the game is a replica of a squad. The game needs big maps, big enough to carry a lot of people, maybe this needs 150+ people, this might need 300, or more, but if you follow this vision, I personally think the playability of the game will go up more than a little bit. You need huge maps and almost complete trenches to provide the front lines for major battles. And the map has a rear, and what's the rear? Command positions, supply lines, and warp-fire artillery. Why do you need rear rows? Obviously, the trenches of World War I had front and rear lines, but let's discuss why this was needed. World War I was known for artillery, gas and muddy trenches (and probably rats), and this game, without even combat artillery available for players to play with, is so boring! Imagine how nice it would be to be able to provide covering fire for your teammates on the front lines, just like Hell let loose's artillery. Of course, the artillery is not a panacea, ammunition will one day run out, as will the soldiers on the front line, so we need supply lines, from the rear of the ammunition depot, by trucking supplies to the front line with artillery, this map must be well designed. We need to give the commander-in-chief of the front line a special rear office along with the artillery, yes, to give orders to the front line company commander, exchange information, understand the battle situation, is the player's job can be observed from the rear of the map, and accept the company commander's request for fire support, making the tactics more important. It is better to use only range voice for ordinary soldiers on the front line, which will increase the simulation of historical reality, as well as maps that can be viewed, preferably by any soldier other than the company commander can not view.     Hey fellow gamers. I just bought this game and it wont even let me load into a lobby. I play hell let loose alot and this one looked like fun. Anyone know how to help me work this? It says joining, but then it doesn't. I know the game is still in development, but I would at least wanna try it lol. Thank you
  25. the shock troop squad has WAY too many mp18s, it makes matches really unfun constantly getting spammed with SMGs while you have a bolt action or pistol i'm not good at balancing but i think there shouldn't be more than 3 mp18s in a squad
